THE PATTERN SON.
The harp of God our Pattern for living
Through this page I want to introduce you to the “Pattern Son”
after whom all His sons are predestined to mature. The Harp of God plays
the “Pattern of living” that God has set before us and as
he plays the strings, this pattern will be revealed to us.
God created man.
God created man to provide a dwelling place
for himself or to contain himself. He wanted to reveal Himself through
us.
God said, Let Us [father, son and
Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let
them have complete authority over the fish of the see, the birds of
the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all the earth, and over everything
that creeps upon the earth. (Gen. 1:26 (Amp.)
From the beginning in the Garden of Eden there
is evidence that God made Adam and Eve to have fellowship. After the
fall they were hiding from God and the fellowship was broken. We see
our Lord and two angels coming to Abraham (Gen. 18: 1-8) and a type
of Passover where prepare “bread and meat”. God was seeking
out a place and grounds to fellowship with man.
God came to Moses and asked Him to build him a tabernacle in the wilderness.
Through the ages God was seeking a place that he could inhabit. David
could not build the temple but Solomon his son did.
Let them make Me a sanctuary, that
I my dwell among them,
And you shall make it according to all that I show you, the pattern
of the tabernacle or dwelling and the pattern of all the furniture
of it. (Ex. 25:8,9 (Amp.)
When God (Eloim) created man in His own
image, it became evident that God did come to him. To walk with him,
to fellowship with him but he did not take up residence in him. Union
with man, dwelling within man, was not possible until man’s free
will was tested and proven acceptable to God.
Jesus Christ became man, took up the same position of the firsts man
(Heb2: 9), and after being tested and tempted in all points as the first
man yet without sin, was able to say, “He
that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John
14:9). He was in fact saying that I am the dwelling place of God. We
could never be able to say that if He, our Lord Jesus Christ, could
not have said and experienced the indwelling of God. Having reconciled
us to God by His redeeming blood, He gives us the power to become the
Sons of God and thus a dwelling place for God.
Don’t you know that you yourselves
are God temple and that Gods spirit lives in you (1 Corth. 3:16 (NIV)
When Jesus ascended to heaven he told them
to be together in the upper room were they must wait and pray until
they will receive power.
We read in (John 14:15-20 (NIV)
“If you love me, you will
obey what I command.
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor
to be with you forever –
The Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither
sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for He lives with you and
will be in you.
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me.
Because I live, you also will live.
On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in
me, and I am in you.
If He is living in you and me He cannot
that place with any other.
What agreement is there between
the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God.
As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them,
and I will be there God, and they will be my people.” (2 Corth.
6:16 (NIV)
In summery I want to point out to you that we also come to a place
of decision. We are also tempted and tested and tempered just as Jesus
was to be proven sons of God. God wants to see if all of us after all
of this, will still follow him as disciplined mature sons of God. Worthy
to carry His glory so that the world my know that He is the only Triune
God. That’s why the devil never made it. He failed the test and
wanted the glory for himself. By his own will he stepped out of the
will of God for his live. Because sin was birthed in him there is no
repentance for him. Even the Angels that fell with him fell by there
own free will.
